Tree Root Preservation Service - Construction Sequence

1. Protection to the exisitng trees is erected in accordance with British Standards.
2. Lay geotextile membrane, cellweb and fill with pea shingle. This provides a level working platform, protects the ground surface and allows moisture and oxygen to reach the tree roots.
3. Hand auger pile positions to a depth of 750mm to check for the presence of tree roots larger than 10mm diameter. If found move pile positions and hand auger again.
4. Install bored piles using lightweight rigs and sleeve top 1.0m to prevent concrete leaching into root zone of the trees.
5. Lay Deck Support Units and decking to create void beneath slab.

6. Pile overlays are also placed to prevent concrete leaking through deck onto pea shingle below.

7. Install reinforcement steel and fix stainless steel masonry support angle to decking

8. Pour concrete and level to high tolerance level
